 Part of the process of getting dental veneers is trimming your teeth down so that the thin veneer fits seamlessly into your mouth. Many people worry about this much of the process, fearing it will be uncomfortable.
Most people who have it done, do not complain about there being much, if any, discomfort. That is because only a tiny sliver of your tooth is removed for the veneer to be placed. This is done so that the tooth is set further back, and so the veneer sits directly on the tooth without sticking out. Veneers last between five and fifteen years when taken care of properly, but they will need to be replaced at that point.
